Recently I came across an article which confirmed a fact I used to believe in. The article that I am talking about can be found here Why Google must Die. This talks about how Google is manipulating its search results.
Google has always been known to do things differently, well the search engine giant has done things differently even with its most popular and powerful tool Google Search. The manipulation of the search results have been noticed by many users and it’s been happening since a lot time. Google Search results would differ for two users sitting in two different locations (even before Google started localizing as per location).
Imagine if you were looking for something important and got just dummy pages or pages which would sell services related to the information which you require. How frustrating is that?? There are websites which offer the correct information but they never get listed on Google because these websites focus on providing only the correct information and don’t go about spending a fortune to get their website search engine optimized. The other websites who don’t have the complete information or they want to sell their services to you employ professional companies to do SEO on their website. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) ensures that your website if optimised correctly would list top on search engines for specific keywords.
I would advise to use an alternate search engine if you were looking something on the internet and wanted to get the correct answers/websites.

Every websites search engine rankings depend on the keywords. Keywords are generated from considering various factors such the elements on the webpage, nature of the website, functional use of the website, etc. Once the keywords are generated they are checked for their competency, each keyword is researched properly before being shortlisted for the website.
Once the keywords are selected, content on the webpages is changed at times to being in the relevancy amongst both. It important that the content and the keyword have a few things in common. Keywords are also added to HTML page titles, meta tag descriptions, etc.
The website is then promoted on different search engines using the same keywords. It can take anything about two months to six months for the website to show up on top listings with those keywords. Good keywords help websites reach more audience thus increase its marketing reach.

Many of us talk about how global warming is causing climatic changes to the earth and in return how does it affect us. But I guess not all us understand how it’s going to affect our lives in the near future. It’s still not too late to save our planet and secure the future of the forth coming generation. If we change a couple of our habits we might be able to save our planet.
Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s near-surface air and oceans in recent decades and its projected continuation. Increasing global temperatures will cause sea level to rise, and is expected to increase the intensity of extreme weather events. Other effects of global warming include changes in agricultural yields, trade routes, glacier retreat, species extinctions and increases in the ranges of disease. One study predicts 18% to 35% of a sample of 1,103 animal and plant species would be extinct by 2050, based on future climate projections.
There are a few things we can do to decrease the effects. We can help by using less energy. The electricity that operates many of the devices in our homes comes from a power plant, and most power plants burn fossil fuels to generate that power. Turn off lights when they’re not in use. Take shorter showers to use less hot water. Use a fan instead of an air conditioner on a warm day. Make sure your car is properly tuned up. This allows it to run more efficiently and generate fewer harmful gases. Turn lights and other appliances off when you’re not using them. Even though a light bulb doesn’t generate greenhouse gas, the power plant that generates the electricity used by the light bulb probably does. Switch from incandescent light bulbs to fluorescent bulbs, which use less energy and last longer. Walk or ride your bike if possible, or carpool on your way to work. Walk or ride your bike if possible, or carpool on your way to work.I guess we all can do a bit from our side to save this beautiful planet where we live in.
If you cannot do or find it difficult to implement in your life, you can do your part by going GREEN and Plant trees as many as possible.

With everything getting portable these days, the applications which we use on daily basis are not very far behind. Portable Applications are getting very common these days because of their ease of use. Just double click the application and it runs ! no need to run through an installation process.
These applications are generally carried on portable storage devices such as CD-Rom’s, USB flash drives, flash cards, or even floppy disks. The applications cannot be run of different operating system (OS)platforms. For E.g. a windows applications will only run on a windows system and not on a linux or MAC OS.
With the change in times the popularity of such softwares is increasing day-by-day, software companies are distributing portable applications to its users these days. Computer users these days can or rather have the option of keeping their Os as clean as possible. I personally think portable applications make life easier for the end users.
There are websites which host only downloadable portable applications, major search engines list such popular websites. You can try to download a portable version of your most used application and check the it out yourself. However, not applications cn be made portable so don’t be disappointed if you are not able to find your app in the list.

RSS provides a convenient way for content publishers to distribute information in a standardized format. A standardized XML file format allows the information to be published once and viewed by many different.
The benefit
RSS is the aggregation of all content from multiple Web sources in one place. You no longer have to visit different Web sites to obtain the latest information on your topics of interest. With RSS, summaries of content are delivered to you, and then you decide which articles you want to read by clicking a link.
Finding them
If you already know the Web address of an
RSS Feed which also known as a URL, you can enter the URL for an RSS Feed directly into the Feed reading software. However, if you are new to
RSS, or want to add to your collection of RSS Feeds, you can discover new
RSS Feeds in several ways. All major websites these days provide RSS Feeds for their content. There are several Internet sites that maintain large listings of available
RSS Feeds such as
Syndic8.com and
Search 4 RSS feeds from different categories and websites can be found on these sites.
Viewing RSS
A program known as an RSS reader, feed reader, or feed aggregator can periodically check RSS-enabled sites for you and retrieve any updated content. Most people take advantage of some form of client software to read their RSS Feeds. These programs are referred to as RSS aggregators. These aggregators get periodical updates from the websites display the latest content from the websites to the users.
The future
It can be predicted that RSS is the future for content publishing. Ever website or content house will have to deploy RSS feeds on their websites, as it makes life easier for the user. User gets to read the latest on their selected topics of interest without even opening a webpage how convenient is that?

People always are looking out for performance, everyone wants their machine to be fast and super quick. However there are only a couple of them who understand what goes into getting performance from any system.
There is of course the software part, which includes removing unnecessary programs and software, defragmenting the harddrive for better performance, etc, etc. There is another factor which can improve the performance which is not known to many. This factor is cooling ! Its very important for any machine to have a good cooling system. The efficiency of things like the processors, RAM, harddrives, etc depend on how well they are ventilated and cooled. Any electronic equipment will performance or rather performs better if it has a good cooling system.
In earlier times there were only fans which provided cooling and ventilation to machines, these days there are a lot of cooling systems available which include the high rpm cooling fans, water cooling systems, liquid nitrogen cooling, and many more. All cooling systems help various devices to perform at optimal levels, if you have your hardware running at optimal levels you are bound to receive a good performance.
Overclockers always love to mod their machines to get the best possible performance from their system. Some of them use simple techniques to provide more airflow into the system and improve the air circulation. However there are some who install expensive cooling components such as liquid nitrogen cooling and water cooling systems to get the best out of their systems.
You can try some basic techniques to keep your machine cool such as provide air ventilation within the CPU, there should be enough fans which circulate the air properly. The place where the machine has been kept should be dust free, dust settles down on fans, heat sinks and other places which affects the cooling of equipments. For laptops care should always be taken to have enough ventilation at the base of laptop, laptops should not be used on places such as beds and other such places where the ventilation is less or does not exist.
You can a couple of the above mentioned options to help your system cool better and provide you always with optimal performance.

My boss tells me ‘you’ve got to write’। Sounds simple right? Then why is it that the word gives me cold feet and sweaty palms? Writing is my passion, a hobby that’s now a job। But then we all have our days। ‘Writer’s block’, every writer will be able to identify with my this state of mind। There are days when the mind just does not want to think, I also call it the ‘blank state’। This is when the passion turns into a nightmare. Where are my thoughts? Can somebody help me? The worst is staring at an open blank document, which stares right back with impudence.
You write a sentence, and then there goes ‘delete’। No word or sentence gives you satisfaction. Words refuse to flow, thoughts refuse to surface. There you go, procrastination sets in. Now every other thing seems more pleasurable than writing. Then comes the restless stage, when your mind goes into an overdrive. Why can’t I write? Why is it so difficult?
Now when I go through this phase, I have learnt how to overcome it and get into the writing mode. I just ‘switch off’ my mind, I don’t push myself to think, I go for a stroll and enjoy the nature and think of everything but what I need to write on. It’s the last thing on my mind. It helps, maybe you won’t be able to write pages and pages, but a page will surely come out of it.
For all of us satisfaction is the key word. At the end of the piece, you should feel like you have conveyed all that you wanted to. The reader should be as satisfied as you.

Poor grammar and wrong spelling hamper the performance of websites, blogs, articles and any other form of media writing. A website or a document that contains spelling errors, poor punctuation and awkward sentence structure confines the smooth flow of reading and can ultimately result in the loss of a customer.
When you’re trying to say something why not say it right. Typographical errors should be avoided; they dampen the entire spirit of the article. It is true when we say that ‘commas are sometimes sprinkled like confetti, takes more time correcting a grammatically incorrect sentence than writing a new one’. Editing or proofreading takes twice the amount of time as compared to writing an article from scratch. Trying to correct someone else’s thoughts sometimes is a more difficult and daunting task. If you go over a sentence more than twice it almost sounds correct, which is when the real test begins.
Today time is money. It can be hard to know if you’re using the right words, or if you have the correct meaning for a phrase or expression.
Convey exactly what’s on your mind by writing the “RIGHT” Way!

Definition: Graphic Design has been around as long as man has been making marks; first on stone canyons or dry earth, now ephemerally and globally on the World Wide Web. Graphic Designers work designing print, environmental (signage systems) or electronic forms of visual information, as for an advertisement, publication, or website. All this is managed by a skillful use and understanding of type, color, and image and sound to create visual solutions to communications problems.
An extremely essential aspect of Graphic Designing is to provide effective graphics in a restricted time frame. Graphic Designers work in a variety of media, all to achieve the goal of successfully communicating ideas. Flash animations graphically presented can be fun and inspiring. A single animation at times speaks more than a lot of text put together. Graphics can make a Website look extremely colorful and artistic. It’s almost like magic and can create an illusionary impact.
Animation is a Latin term which is derived from ‘animo’ which means breathing life into something static. Motion and movement added to a static graphic can turn it into an interesting animation. Graphics and animations are both an integral part of Website design. All put together could change the look and feel of your organization ten folds.
